Our first month has come and gone and we are off to a
great start. Burl Dean and his core of officers conferred our EA Degree on Jan
28 and they did a fine job! Congratulations to Douglas Stewart on being
initiated as an Entered Apprentice.
Our January Country Breakfast was attended very well even
with the cold weather. I would like to ask all brethren to try to attend to
support our lodge's fund raising projects. Also, we could use anyone’s help in
cooking and serving our patrons. If you haven’t been to our breakfast the food
and the comaradery among the brethren is outstanding so come and join us for a
great breakfast and to socialize with your brethren. Our breakfasts are on the
first Sunday of each month.
We will be having fund raising dinners, one each quarter,
so look at your bulletins for more details next month.
There is going to be a special event this summer that is
going to be a great event. A lodge from the Indian Reservation from Oklahoma is
coming to Louisville on June 7 to put on the MM Degree. The Louisville Scottish
Rite and the Grand Lodge of Kentucky sponsor this event. I am going to get
tickets for anyone who wishes to go and see this great event. The tickets are
$10.00 each. If you would like to attend please let me know as soon as possible
so I can make sure we get enough tickets for everyone. If we get enough
participation we could possibly get a bus to take everyone. Please call or email
me at 859-331-7240 or email at email@example.com.
Well, I guess I have said enough for now! Please come out
and support your lodge. We have a great group of officers that would love to see
