Dora Chapter No. 2, O.E.S.
Anna Lorenz, Worthy Matron
Meeting on the 2nd Friday of each month at 8:00 PM

Deputy Grand Patron Ed Vardiman and his lovely wife Verna visited with us in February for our Valentine's Day party. Refreshments were served by Sisters Beverly and Marty and Brothers Phil and George. Very tasty! We honored Sister Marty and Brother George for their outstanding service to Dora Chapter. These new members have brought a lot of enthusiasm to our meetings and are currently serving as flag bearers. Congratulations to both.

After bad weather forced us to change our O.E.S. Home trip to February, the O-2-Lunch Bunch traveled to Louisville to visit with the residents. Bingo was on the agenda and the residents and the eight of us (Sisters Judy, Minnie, Bev, Marty, and myself, along with Brothers Bill, George, and Phil) had a really fun day. The residents receive excellent care, and the facilities are immaculate. Of course we stopped at Kingfish Restaurant on the way home. What a great day!

We still have some car wash cards for sale. The $6.00 card entitles you to one free ($7.95 value) car wash at Wilder, Kentucky (A A Highway at I-275), and ½ price thereafter. Total card value is over $50.00. All profits go to our Ways and Means Chairman, Sister Gladys. This is a good opportunity to get the winter grime off of your car, support your Chapter, and save some $$$, also! Contact any officer.

The first reading of our new by-laws will be at the March 12th meeting . Sister Judy and her committee have done an outstanding job (no dues increase). We will also make final arrangements for our Friendship Day, which will be 2:00 pm Sunday, March 28. Entertainment by Sisters Amie, Sheri, and Carrie. On Good Friday, Worthy Grand Matron Debbie Dreier will be with us. Plan to attend and support your Chapter. We have fun!
