I canít believe I am writing the May Bulletin already!
As most of you know, I am not looking forward to the HOT meetings this summer in
a coat and tie, but I guess itís better than snow!
We have been asked to portray the Legend of the Temple at
Alexandria the end of June and also at the Outdoor raising. Please let myself or
Paul Shelton know if you can participate. We could use some extra bodies to fill
all the parts!
This is an early reminder that our Lodge Picnic is going
to be on August 17 at Kincaid Lake. Times will be announced later.
It is necessary for me to make this statement that we
still have some brothers who have not paid their dues for 2003. If you are one
of these brothers please send in your dues as soon as possible so that we donít
have to suspend you. Remember that our dues help to keep our lodge running and
our building in order. Thanks in advance!
We will be having another fund raiser on June 22. This
will be the first of three Country Dinners to help raise funds to paint and
finish the ceiling repairs that are much needed after having the roof repaired
this spring. We need all of your help in making these dinners a success!
I also wanted to let the membership know that we have
changed our By-Laws for Life Memberships. Our Life Memberships are usually
$600.00, but for those of you who donít have long before your 50 yr.
membership can save money on a Life Membership. The new by-law change allows you
to take the difference in time served multiplied by the time left before your 50
years at the current rate (which could change in the future) this makes it a
good deal for those of us who have been in a long time and wanted to take
advantage of this now.
I hope to see all of you soon at our May meetings! Come
and support your lodge, it is what we all make it.
Donít forget our monthly breakfast on May 4th,
